Dr. Uchenna Onuzulike is Associate Professor of Communications and Graduate Coordinator of the Organizational Communications Program in the Department of Communications at Bowie State University. His research focuses on critical intercultural communication, media literacy, ethnic and diasporic identities, communication theory, organizational communication, and transnational media. His scholarship further explores the intersections among religion, culture, folk belief, and language, with particular attention to Nollywood and film analysis and criticism. Dr. Onuzulike has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. Among his most significant contributions as a critical intercultural scholar is the conceptualization and development of Ethnic Communication Theory. His forthcoming book, Negotiating Ethnic and Transnational Identities in the African Diaspora: Second-Generation Igbo Americans, will be published by Bloomsbury in 2026.
