The Igbo Studies Association (ISA) invites submissions from scholars and professionals working on all aspects of studies on the Igbo in Nigeria and diaspora, for its 20th Annual International Conference, which will hold on May 11 – 13, 2023, at Dominican University, Chicago, USA.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Cyril Obi, Program Director at Social Science Research Council, New York
Topic: "Social Science Research Council (SSRC) in Africa: Supporting Social Research and Bridging the Knowledge-Policy Gap."
Cyril Obi is a program director at the Social Science Research Council, New York, where he leads the African Peacebuilding Network (APN) and the Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa programs. His most recent book is, Developmental Regionalism and Economic Transformation in Southern Africa (Routledge, 2020), with Said Adejumobi.
This year's conference is being organized via Zoom video conferencing technology. The login details are included in the panels in the event program. When you log in, you will arrive in a common room. A lot of events such as the opening ceremony, featured and keynote speeches, will take place in the common room so that everyone can participate together.
